Beyond the Edit
Every piece that finds its way into the Haus Vintage family has earned its place. Condition. Provenance. Construction. The particular quality that makes a garment worth carrying — worth passing on. We source from thousands of items every year: estate clearances, sample sales, wardrobe acquisitions, private collections. The pieces that make it to our collections have been chosen with intention.
But curation is, by definition, an act of selection. And the pieces that don’t make our edit don’t disappear. They often live on.
Dress for Success
The garments that don’t meet the Haus Vintage standard, beautiful but not quite Haus — are donated to Dress for Success, a global nonprofit that provides professional attire, career development tools, and employment support to women entering or re-entering the workforce.
A garment that didn’t make our collection can become the outfit a woman wears to the interview that changes her life. That is not a small thing. That is the whole point of clothing done right.
Goodwill Industries
Our curators actively support Goodwill Industries at the local level — an organization that provides occupational training, job placement, and employment opportunities for immigrants, people with disabilities, and others facing barriers to work.
In a business built on the labor and craft of immigrant communities — the tailors, the pattern makers, the designers who arrived with nothing but their skills and their standards — supporting Goodwill feels less like charity and more like continuity.
Beyond the Edit — Seasonal Giving
A few times a year, Haus Vintage does charitable initiatives outside of clothing donations. We announce each campaign through Das Journal first, so subscribers know when their purchase is doing double duty.
This is not a marketing program. It is an acknowledgment that the clothes we love have always been connected to the lives of the women who made them, wore them, and needed them. We are simply making that connection visible.
Do you represent a women’s charity working at the intersection of fashion, dignity, and economic empowerment? We believe clothing is one of the most powerful tools for change — and we’d love to hear from you. Reach out to us →
