Every wardrobe tells a story, and for Karyn Shaw, lead curator at Haus Vintage, that connection is personal. Her more than 30 years in entertainment includes decades behind the scenes of television and movie production. Working both in front of the camera and behind the scenes, she has seen how clothing can establish an era, reveal a personality, and bring a character to life before a single word is spoken.

Her appreciation for costume also has a personal thread: family friend Edith Head, the celebrated Hollywood costume designer whose work remains a source of inspiration. For Karyn, that influence is a reminder to look beyond a garment and consider its storytelling possibilities: what a silhouette suggests, how a fabric moves, and what a carefully chosen detail reveals about the person wearing it.

Haus Vintage’s Wardrobe Archive brings that perspective to a collection available to costume companies, studios, television productions, and music videos.

We connect costume designers, stylists, and creative teams with distinctive vintage pieces that help build a believable world, evoke a particular moment, or give a character an unmistakable presence.

Each piece carries a history of its own. The archive is where that history meets a new creative vision, and vintage finds its next role.
